Monkeyland is situated next to Birds of Eden, you can buy a combo ticket to include Birds of Eden.  There you can go on a self guided tour,  we do recommend 60 to 90 minutes.  The sanctuary is home to 220 different species & subspecies of birds totalling over 3500 birds. From the indigenous and beautiful Knysna lourie with its awkward call for such a gracious bird, the other lourie (Turaco) species, parrots, parakeets, waterfowl, flamingos, starlings, robins and graceful cranes. The sanctuary includes a deep gorge with a waterfall and the aviary is approximately 50m high, covering all the treetops and allowing ample flying space for its winged inhabitants.   Check out Birds of Eden for more information.

Monkeyland is located 7km from Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary (see map) there you will go on a 1hr20min walking tour with one of our experienced rangers.  You will be able to see and photograph the animals from platforms scattered throughout the sanctuary, raised to look out over the enclosure fences. You will see many of the world’s Big cats like Lion, Tiger, Leopard, Jaguar, and Pumas as well as an assortment of other smaller wildlife, Zebras and Springbok. The large camp like enclosures were built to suit each animals’ specific needs and to give them a chance to be in an environment similar to their natural habitat. Check out Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary for more information.

We offer STO rates to tour operators and these are available via email.  School group rates are also available on request.
