BirdLife Overberg's monthly talk in June will focus on the Southern Black Korhaan.  Sally Hofmeyer had just completed her doctoral studies on this threatened species and will highlight several conservation issues facing the bird.  A bustard and korhaan working group had recently been formed by BirdLife South Africa and several other conservation agencies, illustrating the many problems facing this often misunderstood group of birds.
