Entry
to Monkeyland is free; this entitles
you to spend time on the forest deck,
which also doubles up as a restaurant.
From this area primates moving around
the forest are always seen and heard.
The only charge is to go on a monkey
safari (optional) with one of our
game rangers. This is a foot safari
into the forest where the primates
(16 species from around the world)
have been released and are
free-roaming.
The rangers will
track the primates down and impart
interesting information about them,
the forest and anything else you come
across. Part of the safari is across
our canopy walk, which actually rises
above the forest canopy for a bird’s
eye view of this primate paradise.
These walking safaris last an hour,
and depart from reception every half
hour. Tours depart daily and are open-ended,
which means that you can go on as
many tours as you like on the day
you are visiting us.
Birds
of Eden is situated next to Monkeyland,
and similar to Monkeyland requires
no pre-booking, unless a guided tour
is required. The difference between
Monkeyland and Birds
of Eden is that you are able to
stroll about the bird sanctuary without
a safari guide whereas you cannot
do so at Monkeyland.
We
offer STO rates to tour operators
and these are available via email
or fax. please contact Lara Mostert

From
the West, take the N2, pass
Knysna, pass Plettenberg Bay and continue
on to The Crags. You will notice a
Monkeyland and Birds of Eden sign

Route Superrette). Take the turn-off
(on the right) at this BP Garage and
follow the Monkeyland signs for a
further 2km.
From
the East, we are 340km from
Port Elizabeth. After the exit of
the Tsitsikamma toll road, follow
the road until you pass the exit to
Nature’s Valley on the left
